Company History

M.E. Stained Glass is owned and ran by myself and my wife Louise, from our workshops in Harwell, near Retford, and Newark. The company, founded in 1985, has gained great knowledge, condfidence and experience in the field of restoration, repair and commision of historic windows.

Over the years we have been involved in many differing projects, large and small, including domestic and commerical properties and are proud to have carried out work in some of the coutry's finest buildings. Many contracts have involved working within English Heritage, architects and church diocese guidelines.

The most recent of these being our contribuition to the £1million restoration of Hellifield Peel, near Skipton, North Yorkshire. A former ancient stone peel tower (a fortified tower house) that had been abandoned in the early 20th century. The whole resoration was filmed for the Channel Four programme Grand Designs.
